Frequently Used Tools:

Goosegrass

Eleusine indica

Goosegrass is a bunch-type summer annual weed that thrives in compacted, poorly drained soils common to high traffic turfgrass areas. Stems are flattened and often originate from a central point to form a mat-like rosette. Leaf blades are smooth and may have a few hairs near the base. Goosegrass can be identified by its seedhead. Spikelets are arranged in rows on "fingers."  Spikelets are arranged in a herringbone pattern resembling a zipper.
